Winter Food Festival
From 11 January to 21 February 2025, our restaurant Klára was also among the competitors who applied for points in the search and announcement of the best restaurants in Slovakia. During the seven weeks of winter, more than 600 guests visited us with the intention of not only having a good dinner, but also participating in the evaluation through the Falstaff restaurant online mobile app. The menu for this purpose was prepared by our chef Peter Bracho, whose name and skill is known in gourmet circles, he is a guest of the popular TV show “No Serviettes” and has already “pocketed” several awards. The evaluation and awarding of points was attended not only by guests, but also by professional collaborators and members of the Falstaff Club. This is how the ranking of the best restaurants, chefs, sommeliers and wines was created.
Gala evening
The announcement of the results took place on 14 May this year at the Grand Hotel River Park in Bratislava, with a strong participation of restaurant operators, foreign guests of the Falstaff Club as well as other important personalities of the gastronomy segment. Approximately 80 establishments from all over Slovakia were involved in the competition, half of which are located in the Bratislava region. The prizes were awarded according to individual regions, the best hotel restaurants, the best thematic restaurants as well as the chefs of the year, the sommelier of the year and the winemaker of the year were announced. The gala evening was enlivened by the performance of our favourite singer Janka Kirschner and the buffet was full of canapés, desserts, mini culinary masterpieces, a hot buffet and drinks… as befits good hosts.
Award for GOYA VITALITY
Thanks to our chef, Peter Brach (and including other members of our team, without them it would not have been possible), we were awarded 4th place as “newcomer” of the year in the category of best hotel restaurant of the year, just behind Sissi Hotel Lomnica Restaurant, RIVERBANK Restaurant and Grand Restaurant, Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras. Our Peto Bracho is the third best chef in Slovakia, only one point behind Jozef Hromják, the winner was Daniel Tilinger.

Profile of Peter Bracho, our chef
Chef Peter Bracho likes to go back to old recipes at the stove, which he transforms into modern clothes. Cooking for him is not just a craft, but an art that combines tradition, creativity and respect for ingredients. His philosophy is to work with local suppliers from nearby farms, but he does not hesitate to travel to other parts of Slovakia to find the best quality. Zero waste approach is a matter of course for him – in the kitchen he is able to make use of every part of the ingredients. When you ask him what he likes to cook, he smiles modestly and answers: “I like to cook.” And in that simple phrase is everything – passion, humility and a love of food that you can feel in every bite. And one more secret: Why does his food on the plate look like a work of art? Because Peto likes to draw. We look forward to your visit!
Experiential gastronomy in GOYA VITALITY
You can experience it as soon as you decide, we are open every day, we recommend to book a table in advance. Tasting dinners and Sunday brunches are held regularly once a month, family reunions and wedding receptions are booked by our clients as early as 2026 to be sure of a reservation. For the summer we prepare barbecues, picnics, for teambuilding and for the school cooking bryndzowe gnocchi.
